Where did Almondine originate?

“Almondine” or “Amandine,” pronounced “ah-mahn-DEEN,” is a culinary term that has its roots in French cuisine. It refers to dishes that are adorned with sliced, slivered, or toasted almonds. Despite its origin in France, this technique has spread globally and is now a beloved addition to dishes in lots of different cuisines worldwide.

What makes California the best place to grow green beans?

California is known for its warm, sunny weather, and that’s great news for green bean growers. These hardy plants thrive in our state’s mild climates, producing tender, crisp pods that are packed with flavor. Whether you’re looking for a healthy side dish for dinner or a tasty snack to munch on, California’s green beans are the perfect choice.

The rich soil quality in California is truly unique.

In addition to our ideal climate, California is home to some of the richest soil in the world. Our state’s diverse geography, from rolling hills to fertile valleys, provides the perfect growing conditions for a wide variety of crops, including green beans.

This rich soil is what gives our green beans their unique, sweet flavor and makes them a staple in kitchens all across the country.
