Here are the easy recipes that we will be prepared live in Monterey, California:
Spicy Green Harissa Sauce
This spicy sauce from Aida of Salt & Wind is a go-to recipe in her kitchen year-round.
It is great on a roast, with lamb chops (as pictured), or slathered over a lamb burger which is one of the dishes that Aida will be demoing live at the California Farm Bureau’s annual meeting.
- Olive oil
- Walnuts
- Leafy greens
- Lemons
- Parsley
- Garlic
Pink Pickled Onions
Our Pickled Onions are the perfect topping for the Lamb Burger Sliders that Aida will be demoing at the California Farm Bureau’s annual meeting in a few weeks.
- Garlic
- Onion
- White vinegar
The California 75 cocktail
Meg will be shaking up her sensational lemon cocktail that is as bright and effervescent as the ocean views you’ll see driving down California SR75 to sunny San Diego.
If you are a fan of a classic French 75, you will love this So Cal-inspired spin. This lemon cocktail calls for Vya Whisper Dry Vermouth from California in place of the gin that is called for in the classic version.
At the event in a few weeks, Meg will be topping this cocktail with sparkling wine from Odonata Winery – one of her personal favorites!
- Lemon
- Sparkling wine
- Vermouth
Grape, Walnut, and Sage Compote Over Brie
Meg created this incredibly easy recipe for entertaining by topping Real California Triple-Cream Brie Cheese with a delicious mixture of sliced grapes, herbs, toasted nuts, honey, and Balsamic vinegar.
If you can stir – this easy recipe is for you!
- Walnut
- Sage
- Honey
- Herbs
- Brie
Prosciutto Wrapped Prunes
If you’re looking for a snack, party bite, or addition to a cheese plate that people won’t expect but will truly love, make a batch of these appetizers from K.C. the G Free Foodie!
At home, KC suggests roasting the prunes a bit so that the cheese softens and the Proscuitto becomes crisp.
At the California Farm Bureau’s annual meeting, Meg will demonstrate how to make a version of this recipe with semi-soft cheese, walnuts, and a drizzle of hot honey, and no oven at all.
- Prunes
- Walnuts
- Olive oil
- Honey
Burrata Smashed Green Olive Bruschetta
The recipe from Aida of Salt & Wind combines green olives, roasted pistachios, citrus, mint, and olive oil together and is total perfection! This easy recipe brings freshness and vibrance to any season.

- Lemon
- Pistachio
- California Ripe Olives
