Recipe for Cauliflower Steak with Blue Cheese Butter
Ingredients
Cauliflower Steak
- 1 head cauliflower
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- salt & pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon chives chopped
Butter
- 1 cup butter
- 4 ounces blue cheese
- 1 tablespoon chives, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (205C)
To make the blue cheese butter
- Combine all the butter ingredients and mix well. Roll into a cylinder with parchment paper, roll and seal and place in fridge while you prepare the rest of the meal.
To make the cauliflower steak
- Heat the olive oil in a cast iron skillet. Place the cauliflower steaks in the hot oil and allow to brown on both sides for a few minutes on each side.
- Transfer skillet to oven and cook for 10-15 minutes, or until cooked through.
- Remove from oven top with a pat of the blue cheese butter and top with additional chopped chives.
