And who doesn’t love a quick, no-fuss drink recipe to help you ease into that laid back summer life.
You can easily make the fresh watermelon basil mixer in larger quantities and take out on the lake or a picnic and add the alcohol on site.
Think of the possibilities that this Fresh Watermelon Basil Daiquiri recipe can do for you and your friends this summer!
Of course, we start with fresh, California watermelon. I used the personal-sized, seedless variety and it was plenty for our recipe
Add the watermelon chunks, a few fresh basil leaves, lime juice and sugar to a cocktail shaker
Muddle the ingredients together until everything is combined and liquidy. If you want to make a large batch, this is where you want to double or triple the recipe and keep in a container in the fridge for mass use
Add ice and the white rum to a cocktail shaker and shake for a few seconds to combine the ingredients and make extra cold. Pour into a wide mouth glass filled with ice. I added a slice of watermelon for fun too
Add in a few baby basil leaves to the top and enjoy!
