California Style Winter Juice Recipe

Now that the holidays are almost over, I start to think about ways to adopt healthier habits as the new year approaches, how ’bout you?  

Like, stop eating all the toffee! 

And, put that potato casserole down!

Just to name a few…

 

California Style Winter Juice Recipe

The easiest way I have found to get a kickstart on healthier living is to make a huge batch of this California Style Winter Juice.  It is loaded with natural antioxidants that come straight from ingredients like citrus, pomegranates and fresh mint.  No added sugar, artificial flavors or other junk to worry about.  Just downright goodness straight from the natural source.  What could be better?  Or healthier?

And this winter juice recipe is simple to make!  You’ll want to make it every day to replenish your body and spirit…

 

start juice

Add the citrus, pomegranate and mint into a large pitcher 

 

blend juice

Using a muddler (or you can use a fork), press the juice out of the ingredients, combining all the flavors

Fill the pitcher with water and add a splash of pomegranate juice

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb. citrus, washed and sliced I used tangerines
  • 4 oz pomegranate arils
  • handful fresh mint
  • 1/2 gallon water
  • 1/4 cup pomegranate juice

Instructions
 

  • Combine the citrus, pomegranate and mint into the bottom of the pitcher and muddle until combined and juices are released
  • Fill the pitcher with ice if desired and add the water and pomegranate juice. Stir to combine, serve and enjoy!

Notes

Will keep in the fridge for up to two days
