The way they plant, tend trees, harvest the fruit, and then process the oil is all an art form – an art that has perfect timing, is brimming with passion, and has lots of heart. It is no wonder that they hold the title for the best olive oil in the entire world!

How to book a tour at San Miguel Olive Farm

The tour at San Miguel Olive Farm is educational and exciting, but it is by appointment only. Summer and Fall are the best times to see the trees filled with olives, or you can join them for a fun-filled harvest experience in late October and November.

Richard and Myrna will show you firsthand what a day on a natural olive farm is like. They go to great lengths to explain how they farm, irrigate, prune, maintain and care for their trees. Richard might even share stories about his musical career during your visit, which are equally fascinating! He even played drum beats by request for us while we swirled, slurped, and sipped our way through our tasting.

While many Americans were sheltering in place and working from home, our agriculture community worked hand in hand with retailers and distributors to ensure a stable food supply.

California farming supports 1.2 million jobs and provides $263 billion in total generated revenue for the state. Agriculture is a critical economic driver that contributes to our bottom line and needs support now.

Choosing food, wine, flowers, and garden and nursery plants that are grown in California directly supports and stabilizes our economy.
