The holidays are the perfect time to bring out your inner mixologist and create some amazing cocktails for your guests, including this California citrus easy sparkling wine cocktail!
I’m a lover of all things bourbon, so it was a no-brainer for me to incorporate it into this drink. The sparkling wine softens the harshness that can sometimes be attributed to whiskey, so it’s a win-win situation. Bourbon essence and the fizz of sparkling wine all in one glass!
And, when we add in the citrus and the pomegranate-rosemary ice cube, the festiveness is almost too much!
This cocktail has simple ingredients and takes just a few minutes to make. The ice cubes can be made the day before, so when you are ready to serve, they are ready to drop in the glass!
Start by adding the bitters and simple syrup to a glass. Stir to combine
Squeeze in the juice of an orange wedge
Add the ice cube and bourbon to the glass
And pour in the sparkling wine!

California Citrus Easy Sparkling Wine Cocktail
Ingredients
- 3 dashes angostura bitters
- 1 dash simple syrup
- 1 orange wedge
- 4 oz bourbon
- 4 oz sparkling wine
Instructions
- Add the bitters and simple syrup to a glass and stir to combine. Squeeze in the juice of the orange wedge.
- Place a large ice cube (see notes) into the glass and pour the bourbon into the glass
- Top with sparkling wine and serve
