Almond Aioli Recipe with Fresh Basil

This tasty Almond Aioli with Fresh Basil is fabulous as a dip, or blended smooth as a sandwich spread. It's an easy and delicious recipe that's a little surprising too! California nuts are incredibly versatile, and this recipe proves it.

Ingredients
 
 

  • 8 ounces slivered almonds
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves
  • juice of 1/2 lemon about 2 TBSP
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 cup water
  • salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • Add all the ingredients into a food processor except for the water. Process on high, making sure to scrape the bowl down after a few seconds until the ingredients have come together.
  • Add the water, a 3 TBSP at a time, as the processor is running. Continue with water until smooth or desired consistency is reached. Add additional salt if needed.
