Instructions
In a large skillet heat 1 tablespoon of almond or olive oil over medium heat. Add the slivered almonds and toast, stirring constantly, until golden brown. About 2 minutes. Trasnfer the almonds to a small heat proof bowl and set aside.
Heat the remaining tablespoon of oil in the same skillet over medium-high heat. Add the green beans to the skillet and cook until they start to soften and have turned bright green, about 6-8 minutes.
Add the garlic to the pan and cooking, stirring frequently, until fragrant. 1-2 minutes more.
Stir the almonds back in and season with salt. Cook for 1 more minute then transfer to a serving platter and garnish with desird garnishes like lemon zest, chile flakes, cracked black pepper, and flaky finishing salt.
