Equipment

  • food processor

Ingredients

  • 2 large avocados, pit and peel removed.
  • 1 jalapeno, seeds and ribs removed to make it less hot if desired.
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice, from approximatley 2 limes.
  • 1/3 cup packed cilantro, leaves and stems.
  • 1/4 cup full-fat Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 tsp Piment d' Ville chile powder, or your favorite chile powder.
  • 1/2 tsp coarse kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 2-3 TBSP water optional

Instructions

  • Add all of the ingredients, except for the water, to a food processor fitted with the 'S' blade. Pulse a few times to break up the larger ingredients and then blend until smooth.
If you want to thin out the Avocado Crema for more of a drizzling consistency, add the water one tablespoon at a time, blending after each addition, until the desired consistency is achieved.
