Sparkling Blueberry Cocktail

This drink mixes blueberry jam & California sparkling wine for an effervescent berry-laced blueberry cocktail that's almost too easy to sip.

Ingredients
 
 

  • 2 tablespoons blueberry jam homemade or storebought
  • sparkling wine from California

Optional garnishes:

  • frozen sliced strawberries and blueberries
  • 1 ounce freeze-dried strawberries ground to a powder in a food processor.
  • 1 tablespoon sparkling sugar
  • lemon wedges

Instructions
 

If rimming the glass.

  • Run a lemon wedge around the lip of two champagne flutes or coupe glasses.
  • In a shallow dish, mix the ground freeze-dried strawberries and the sparkling sugar together. Invert the glasses into the mixture to adhere to the rim of the glass.
  • Divide the blueberry jam between two champagne flutes or coupe glasses.
  • Add an ounce of sparkling wine, and stir to combine with the jam. Add frozen berries if using, then fill to the top of the glass with sparkling wine. Serve immediatley.
