Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs. cherries, pitted
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 tbsp. butter, melted and cooled, plus extra for the pan
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp. almond extract
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Using softened butter, grease the inside of the baking dish and dust with granulated sugar.
  • Arrange the cherries in a single layer of the prepared baking dish.
  • In a bowl, mix together the eggs, sugar and extracts. Stir in the cooled butter and thoroughly mix in the flour. Pour over cherries and pop in the oven.
  • Bake for 40-45 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  • Allow to rest and cool off a bit before serving.

Notes

Can be served room temperature and with whipped cream or ice cream.
