Ingredients
  

  • 2 TBSP Olive Oil
  • 1 Yellow Onion diced
  • 4 Cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 pound Ground Lamb
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Pepper
  • 2 15 ounce Cans, Diced Tomatoes
  • 1 15 ounce Can, Garbanzo Beans, drained and rinsed
  • 3/4 Cup Beef Broth

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a skillet. Add onions and sauté until translucent. Add garlic and sauté for about 30 more seconds.
  • Add lamb and seasonings. Sauté and crumble in skillet until lamb is no longer pink. (About 10 minutes)
  • Transfer to a large stock put and add the rest of the ingredients and simmer for an hour.

Notes

Serve with chopped cilantro and sour cream if desired.
